Redditch's own page sets out several recovery methods available once a liability order exists, not just enforcement agents: attachment of earnings at tiered percentage rates depending on what you earn, deductions from benefits including Income Support, Jobseeker's Allowance, Employment and Support Allowance, Pension Credit or Universal Credit, and in more serious or later cases a charging order, bankruptcy, or even committal to prison if someone has the means to pay but refuses. Three firms named by Redditch, one most likely

Redditch's own page names three enforcement agencies used to collect council tax debt: Bristow and Sutor, Marston Holdings, and Newlyn, with an address or phone number for each. BAC's own advertising data narrows that down further. Of the branded searches combining Redditch council tax with a named firm, 146 out of 146, a 100% share, named Bristow and Sutor specifically, making it by far the strongest single candidate of the three. Deductions Redditch can use instead of an enforcement agent

Redditch's own page is specific about attachment of earnings, setting out tiered percentage deduction rates that rise with what you earn, and lists which benefits qualify for a direct deduction instead. Raising your circumstances with Redditch's own team before a liability order is enforced gives it the option to use one of these instead of referring the case on to an agent.

Redditch also runs its own Council Tax Support scheme for residents on a low income, alongside a Hardship Policy for cases the standard scheme does not fully cover.

Complaints about Redditch, and help if you're struggling

Redditch aims to give a written response to a complaint within 10 working days. If you remain unhappy, you can ask for it to be escalated to a Stage 2 appeal, and the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman is available after that. A complaint about one of the three firms' own conduct, rather than Redditch's recovery decision, can go to the Enforcement Conduct Board instead, which oversees the private enforcement industry.
